Indiana Tech’s 21st Century Scholars Program
For over two decades, Indiana Tech has been proudly participating in the 21st Century Scholars Program, dedicated to supporting students from modest and moderate-income families in achieving their higher education goals. This scholarship, administered by Student Financial Services and supported by the Offices of Student Success, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Career Center, offers partial tuition assistance, up to a specified amount, and provides a comprehensive network of campus-based support activities, academic services, and professional workshops to ensure scholars thrive.
Campus support for 21st Century Scholars:
The Office of Student Financial Services is dedicated to helping 21st Century Scholars understand and manage the requirements of their scholarship. Scholars will receive guidance on how to maintain their award, including meeting credit completion requirements and accessing financial aid resources. Financial Services staff are here to ensure that each scholar can navigate the financial aspects of their education with confidence. The Office of Student Success (OSS) provides essential academic guidance to help 21st Century Scholars excel throughout their college journey. Through OSS, scholars have access to Student Success Advisors who are committed to supporting academic, career, and personal growth. Services include academic advising, tutoring, course registration assistance, and resources tailored to ensure students reach their highest potential. The OSS is a cornerstone of Indiana Tech’s commitment to helping every scholar build a foundation for long-term success.
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Indiana Tech students, especially 21st Century Scholars. Our office fosters a sense of belonging, promoting diversity, equal opportunity, and a supportive community. These values are central to the personal and professional growth of our scholars and prepare them to become engaged, well-rounded global citizens. As a key benefit, 21st Century Scholars receive one-on-one coaching sessions with the Director of Multicultural Access, Success, and Outreach, where students can explore opportunities and overcome challenges unique to their journey.
Career Services at Indiana Tech is here to empower 21st Century Scholars with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in today’s dynamic job market. From resume-building workshops to career advancement and networking opportunities, our office prepares students for professional proficiency and meaningful careers. Our goal is to equip scholars with the tools to thrive in the global 21st-century workforce and encourage a life of significance and worth through active, engaged career planning.
21st Century Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements must be met in addition to those listed on our state aid programs page in order to qualify for the 21st Century Scholars grant from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE).
- Demonstrate financial need as determined by your FAFSA.
- Be an Indiana resident by December 31 the year prior to applying (for instance, December 31, 2024 for the 2025-26 academic year)
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
- To receive the maximum award amounts, meet credit hour completion requirement outlined below:
- First year: 30 credits completed
- Second year: 60 credits completed
- Third year: 90 credits completed
Requirements
In consultation with Indiana’s colleges and universities, ICHE established the following post secondary requirements for 21st Century Scholars beginning in 2019-2020.
College Performance: All 3 per Year
- Complete 30 Credits
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- File Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Warrior Summer Bridge Program
Please consider applying for the Warrior Summer Bridge Program
The Warrior Summer Bridge Program is a three-week experience designed to help incoming first-year students transition smoothly from high school to college. It is offered at no cost to students who are admitted to the program and provides the opportunity to earn free college credit through select coursework.
