Student Health Insurance

Requirements for Students

All traditional undergraduate students are required to have health insurance while a student at Indiana Tech.

Athletes (both traditional undergraduate and CPS, including Graduates) are required to have health insurance and show proof of health insurance to the athletic trainers annually before participation in team practices or games.

CPS Students (Undergraduate and Graduate) who are not athletes are encouraged, but not required, to have health insurance while a student.

Insurance Options

Insurance coverage through parents or work

This insurance must provide coverage in the area of the main university campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. (Note, some out-of-state plans do not provide coverage in Indiana.)

  • Domestic students only. International students must select one of the options under the International Students heading.
  • Something to think about: the school plan may be less expensive than a family plan. Consider comparing them before making your decision.

Student Health Insurance

All traditional undergraduate students without other coverage at the beginning of the school year will automatically be enrolled in the Indiana Tech student health insurance with the cost billed to the student’s account. The cost for the 2021/22 school year is $1,935. This is the only health insurance option that can be billed through the school.

  • ONLY traditional students are eligible for this plan.
