Military Scholarships

Indiana Tech Military Scholarship

Indiana Tech offers military scholarships for all Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, and Veterans and their spouses for undergraduate and graduate programs regardless if the military or veteran education benefit is used.Civilian Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Veterans Affairs employees are also eligible. The military scholarship will not be available if tuition is covered 100% by the military or veteran benefit.

Air Force Aid Society GEN Henry H. Arnold Educational Grant program

Award for full-time undergraduate program. Need-based; dependents of Active, Title 10 AGR/Reserve, Title 32 AGR, retired, and deceased; spouses of Active duty and Title 10; surviving spouses.

AMVETS Scholarships

AMVETS annually awards scholarship based on academic excellence and financial need to children or grandchildren of an active, living or deceased veteran AMVETS member. Children or grandchildren of active duty, living or deceased veterans AMVETS veteran; veterans who are AMVETS members.

Army Scholarship Foundation

Children (under age 24) or spouse of Army active, activated Guard/Reserve, honorably or medically discharged or killed while on active duty; High School senior or graduates, or registered for higher education; Dependents or spouse of a serving regular active duty, Reservist or Guardsman in good standing OR a former USA member who received an Honorable or Medical Discharge or was killed or died while serving in the US Army.

Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund

Scholarship to children and spouses of US military members killed in the line of duty. All Branches; provides educational counseling.

Dolphin Scholarship Foundation

Unmarried High School Senior or college student (under age 24); dependent of the US Navy Submarine Force. Sponsor must have served on active duty in the Submarine Force for 8+ years or direct submarine support activities of 10+ years.

Folds of Honor Foundation Children’s Fund

Dependents of KIA or WIA in support of OIF, OEF, OND who is accepted in an accredited private school, tutoring approved educational summer camp or for other unmet educational expenses. Dependents in K5 through 12th grade of active or reserve branches killed or disabled in support of OIF, OEF, OND; 90-100% disability rating; classified as POW/MIA, died after being classified with a service connected disability; MIA, captured or forcibly detained by hostile forces in line of duty; Purple Heart Recipient.

Spouse and children currently attending or accepted in a 2 or 4 year degree program; must reapply each year. Dependent of a SM killed in action, permanently disabled as a result of a mission or training accident or POW/MIA. Current High School Senior or enrolled undergraduate student under 26 years of age.

Heroes Legacy Scholarship

Children of active, Reserve/Guard, retired military members who were wounded or killed on or after 9/11/2001. Dependent children under age of 23 years of age of post 9/11 active, Reserve/Guard, retired and survivors of KIA or wounded in action. Disability rating of 100%.

Grant for IN AUSA members and their dependents. Request application from indianachapterausa@gmail.com. Dependent of IN Chapter AUSA member must be current High School Senior or enrolled undergraduate student; grantee may be IN Chapters AUSA member or spouse.

Marine Corps Relief Society Interest-Free Loans & Grants

Full-time student for entire academic year pursuing initial undergrad degree in an accredited program in the United States. Need-based; Children under age 23 of active, retired, or deceased USMC and USN; spouses of active or retired USMC and USN.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Full-time student for entire academic year pursuing initial undergrad degree in an accredited program. Need-based; DEERS registered children under age 23 of active or retired Army or survivors of active or retired Army.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship

Funds can be used for tuition, room/board, books and incidentals. HS Senior accepted or enrolled full-time in undergrad program or trade school; Purple Heart recipient who is a member of MOPH; spouse/widow or direct lineage descendant of Purple Heart recipient, KIA or died of wound.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The Society’s Education Assistance Program offers interest-free loans and grants for undergraduate/post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year education, technical or vocational institution in the United States. This financial assistance is available for children of active duty, retired or deceased Sailors and Marines; and for spouses of active duty and retired Sailors and Marines.
